Our StoryLegacy Scenic was founded in 2006 in a 6000 square foot facility with tools from the local hardware store and a small personal loan.
A few larger clients who had faith in our abilities gave us the jump start we needed to move into the D.C. market with some high profile projects. One of the things we realized early on in this business is you can’t build excellence upon cheap materials. A solid foundation is vital to the success of any scenic property design. There was definitely a market need for high-quality fabricators who understood that materials matter. We have been in the business long enough to know where spending money counts and where it won’t make a discernible impact. We are nimble, flexible and can adapt to any challenge that arises. We have cut out the bureaucracy and maintained open lines of communication so your intentions don’t get lost. We are passionate creatives, but we are efficient and easy to work with. We enjoy working directly with our clients, and want to hear your feedback throughout the project. You get to talk to the thinkers and doers. Your scene is more than just a product; it is who we are.
Legacy Scenic & Productions LLC has worked closely with organizations of all kinds - corporations, government, associations and live production companies - to create impactful scenic elements that are designed specifically for the venue. We can take care of your load-ins, load-outs, and shipping so you can stay focused on the big picture. Trust us to true-up the design to the actual requirements and to use the right materials for the project. Trust us to true-up the design to the actual requirements and to use the right materials for the project. We create the right detailing for the space and consider who will interact with the elements, as well as what the expectation of each element is. Although the embellishments get all the attention, the safety of a sound build is implicit in the well-engineered design.
We can send progress shots to keep you involved when it matters most. This lets you know that we are on track and it gives you the opportunity to ask for changes at crucial points in the process. We know good ideas keep coming; we love to hear them. We will let you know how they impact budget and schedule so you can make informed decisions. |
